Jahangiri: JCPOA helped people out of tough days

TEHRAN – Es’haq Jahangiri defended the JCPOA and underlined the difficulties that sanctions had brought on people before it was reached.
“Families had a hard time finding medication for their ill members under sanctions. Baby formulas were rare, silos were empty,” he said.
“The nuclear deal was one of the greatest achievements of the history of Iran. It turned Irano-phobia into Iranio-philia. Through the deal we increased petrochemical output 30%, freed petrodollars that had been frozen overseas, and insured ships coming to Iran.”
